Many people have asked why we started Noah's Ark Park. Well, let me try to explain.......

Sixteen years ago we had a grandson that was born autistic , and he has become so priceless to my wife Wannetta and myself, that we wanted to do something for others who are afflicted with this disease. Many people do not realize that one out of 160 children are born with autism. We here at Noah's Ark Park offer all the handicap individuals that come out to enjoy all of the events that take place here, entertainment and admission Free of charge. Our funds now help support over 600 handicap citizens. We would like to see that number increase and expand our efforts nationwide.

Here at Noah's Ark Park and WCTP FM radio want the word to go over the air waves, not only that the gift of Our Heavenly Father is the gift of His Son and our Lord Jesus Christ, and that ALL people can come to know him personally. But we especially want it to be heard that ALL children, ALL people that God has given to us, have a safe haven to come to and really enjoy themselves, be themselves and know that Jesus loves them for who they are.

We ask for your donations to help us support this cause, and help us in our mission to provide a wholesome place for people to bring their children for a day of fun, free from the everyday bustle and stress of the average day.

HOW WE GOT HERE

In 1990 I, Pastor Duane and my wife Wannetta purchased a 120 acre parcel of land in Huron County Michigan, with it came a 22 acre lake , the setting of the lake is nestled around by trees of nature and a road that completely edges the lake for a serene scenic view.

The church was the first of many buildings, which was built in 1992, It can best be explained through an article that written in the Huron Tribune paper:
"looking for a place to take a grand child or a young friend to have a good wholesome, inexpensive day of fun? You need to look no further than Huron County, on Farver Road near Owendale Michigan.

There in the middle of almost nowhere, is Noah's Ark Park, a place where kids and adults can have fun, enjoy nature and each other, while being not so-subtly reminded that Christ still lives, and is part of life. The Ark greets it's quests as they turn into the driveway. It is actually part of the exhibit building allowing people to walk through it and gaze at the animated lifelike animals, while Noah catches a few winks in his bunk. The main part of the building has life size tableaux depicting scenes from the Bible.

The Bible based Noah's Ark park was built from the proceeds Pastor Plonta received from his invention "Realistic Riser" a unique and affordable toilet seat lift kit. He came up with this miraculous idea one day when he was investigating his church's broken vanity. People were using the vanity to support themselves as they were rising from the toilet. After realizing his duty to help his elderly and handicapped parishioners, Plonta devised the Realistic Riser. A riser that is easy to install and can go anywhere with you."
Three special blocks attach to your existing toilet seat with a fourth block specially made to fit under the back of your toilet seat using the custom bolts and nuts to reattach the seat with the lift kit. This unique kit can be used with an elongated or a standard seat. Seat bolts must be un attached to the seat (removable) for the use of the elongated bolts that are necessary with the use of the riser. Pastor Plonta also developed a dunk tank that carries a patent, which is sold all over the world.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER

the park also has paddle boats, a train that takes visitors on a 25 minute ride around the grounds and the lake, and even an animated gospel singing bears show. Praying chapel, The 10 commandments', The Lords tomb, 18 hole miniature golf course and several rides inside. Back outside there are paved walks that lead you to where the Lion & the Lamb gospel singers perform from different churches in the surrounding areas.

OUR PURPOSE

WCTP radio FM Christian radio is broadcast on the air on 88.5 FM. Pastor Duane Plonta started the station for the purpose of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who hunger for fellowship and are unable to get to church. WCTP utilizes the radio to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of those in every community that can be reached. Using a mixture of positive and uplifting music, and special speakers, focusing on all that is important to the local community and throughout the Christian communities around the world. With a sincere desire and purpose of reaching the lost, and touching those in need...
